to me it looks like the event permalink has not been updated in a long time.
Where on vanagon samba can I place an announcement about an event? _________________ ABYC marine master technician , EX European auto technician, new business- EASTCOASTWEST , custom work on campers, only systems, no mechanical

If it's a Vanagon-specific event, simply post it here in the Vanagon Forum. If it's an all-Bus or all-VW event, post it in the Events Forum.
The sticky hasn't been updated because most major events for 2020 were/have been canceled. _________________ ~Kamz

Sounds like the successor to the old Buses By The Trax event. We attended one year. Take your bike to ride on the C&O Canal Towpath.

fingers crossed i can make it... i first hiked/biked the C&O canal in 1982 with the Boy Scouts and we stayed at this campground. in 1988 we again did the canal and stayed at this campground. it's basically IN the water
CSX is very active and the yard is still a busy place. MARC uses the yard as well to layover Brunswick line commuter trains. if you are like me and enjoy trains, the crossing leading to the campground is a great location to get your train on. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL Camper

I hope this goes well and happens again next year. I've been trying to decide what direction to drive for my 50th birthday, which would be around the first weekend of November next year, and having a van event at a cool place in an area I haven't been to sounds like a good way to make the decision.

Too long of a drive for a weekend and with my job, I have to coordinate my time off well in advance. This would be part of a two week trip. Also, stupid covid. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. "Frankie" Totaled https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=764510&highlight=carnage
