Hi all,.
I've loved being a split bus owner since 2013, and I know I'll build another one in the future, I've listed my 65' deluxe for sale recently. I've always used Thesamba for sales and message boards, I am looking at possibly using an online auction system for exposure and finding the right buyer.
I am curious what some of you might think would be best suited for a split bus sale, during and off season such as now, Fall going into Winter, not typically driving season.
I miss eBay motors charging only if and when a vehicle sells, now it's just pay for a week and if doesn't sell in that short time you're out some cash.
Ebay (About $100)
Hemmings (About $100 for their auction format/ $150-190 for magazine)
Barrette Jackson (Online auction I believe is 8%/ translates to about $2000 for a $25,000 average cost)
Thanks all. |

When we sold our 71 Camper Bus back in 2012 we listed it with Hemmings, mostly because we would never get what we wanted selling locally. Had emails/enquiries from a few states, a couple from europe, but ultimately it ended up going to a new home in the UK. all the shipping arrangements were handled by the buyer, and it went pretty smoothly. |
