I agree 100%. I put more miles on my Notch when it looked rough one summer (some rust/paint pops that are doing it again 9 years later), as I drove it most everywhere...even the doctors office or out to lunch. I don't do car shows any more either, and living in the mid west, I get more people asking about it at gas stations and restaurants than I ever did at shows. It's more fun talking to people who have no idea that VW made that style of car (they thought VW only made bugs, buses, and ghia's. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Kelley Park was this weekend and it was another fun one with good people. The Notchback got lots of attention again.
Still less than 200 miles on the odometer. _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

No patina, no roof rack.

I grabbed one of the new anthracite emergency brake boots. I will tuck it at some point but I do not want to mess with the floor mats right now.

How come you didn't graft in a factory sunroof like you did for my Clemmie?!

With the amount of money I threw at this thing...I SHOULD'VE! |
I love the factory sunroof in my 65 Notch. I try to use it as much as I can when it's not raining. |
Use it in the rain.
Drive faster! |
We get too much rain for it to be open all of the time. Plus I park it outside, so it's in the weather. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
