fairly new to the 356 seen... i have a 59 conv D... i notice that where the carbs attaches too the intake manifold the seal and bolts look slightly damp.. is this normal? last thing i want is a Carbeque!! No raw fuel running down, just damp, and you can see slight dark brown resin build up around the bolts...same on both sides... thanx in advance. |

Did you just get the car? Over time the shafts get worn and some gas will seep out when you shut it off but start it up and watch the carbs in case you have a carb issue (bad needle, sunk float, too high float level, etc.). Always have a nice size fire extinguisher in your car and Hagerty insurance. |

If you just run it in the yard to keep the battery up and not drive it during the winter, it might just be condensation. Take it for a good run and then see if its damp. |
