I noticed a couple of my for panel clips are torn from the backer board. Does anyone have any advise on how to repair this?

the only thing i can think of is to add a couple of layers of polyester

You might be able to get a replacement board ready made.

You can peal off the vinyl and transfer it to the new board.

I have done this for the sliding door of my Vanagon.
