Hello everybody, after selling my t2 bus and always been dreaming of a splitbus
I found one on the internet!
Restored the T2 myself so i'm exited to start my new project!
Im from Belgium so my English can sound a little weird
It's a 1966 11 window from california.
This is my t2 that's sold:
And here's my new project!
I will keep you up to date on the restoration! |

Removed the front (was dented and filled with bondo anyway) to see the rust that's behind.
Also removed the front floor.
Started with removing the front beam and all rust..
Also bought a lot of new sheeft metal!
The old bulkhead was cut away to make a walkthrough i think..
Started by cutting the floor:
Started on the front!

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

Thanks man! Build the shed myself because i bought a new house and didn't had a place to work on the bus.
Borchtlombeek is a 1,5h drive from my place, so not that far |

Taking the headlight buckets out of the old front!
Nice to see the og writing in the bucket SG/PW!
Fixed some chassis rust!
Made a wooden template which fits exactly in the window frame,
I need to replace the bottom of both windows and now i am a little bit more sure that my safari's will go in!
That's it for now! |
