Pictures not working in Chrome, but working in FireFox and Edge

Hi all!

I've recently posted some pictures in this topic:

The pictures are 1500 pixels wide, so within the 1600 limit.

In FireFox and Edge the pictures show up without problems, but in Chrome I see the "Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen." message.

Am I doing something wrong?

As a test, here is one of the images:

I am curious if more people have this problem?

edit: just checked, the picture in this post won't show in Chrome either.

The size is not an issue.

Chrome blocks insecure images.
It looks like they changed this in 12/2019 although I've only noticed it recently.

Your image website address:
http://images.gerrelt.nl/open_air/2020-11-07_Herfstrit/DSC_0131_smaller_1500.jpg

Since it is not secure, it won't show it automatically here since the pages on this website as being served securely via https instead of http

If the website above allows you to change the link to https, do that.
This doesn't appear to be true in your case as I tried to change the address to
https://images.gerrelt.nl/open_air/2020-11-07_Herfstrit/DSC_0131_smaller_1500.jpg
and it still did not appear for me.
Example of the same link above as an inline image with https instead:

If I click on that link above, I get a security message saying that site has an invalid security certificate.

You can also post your images in the Samba Gallery here instead and they will appear correctly in the threads.

I noticed it works fine as
http://gerrelt.nl/open_air/2020-11-07_Herfstrit/DSC_0131_smaller_1500.jpg
or
https://gerrelt.nl/open_air/2020-11-07_Herfstrit/DSC_0131_smaller_1500.jpg
so you could use the link without the leading "images." instead.

Examples of both http and https without "images." in front of the link:

That's probably because I only have a certificate for the main domain "gerrelt.nl" and not for its subdomains.
Maybe Chrome thinks it's suspicious that there is a main domain certificate and not one for the subdomain.
