|
|
Hi there. Four years ago I (yes I) installed a rear VW Brake Conversion kit into my (passed down from dad) trike. A custom Bike builder in Lake Worth Florida !!! installed a VW Bug master cylinder. I literally STOOD UP on the brake pedal and almost nothing.
My uncle (also deceased) built like 4 trikes and said he always used a MC from Harley Davidson Shovel head...........Of course I had forgotten that he told me that. I also PAID for a man's work in which I completely relied on and now I still have no stopping vehicle AND out $700.
Please help. I see that the HD MC is only like $70 and the ones on Summit racing are like almost $200 that they're recommending for this kit ???
Please help. I want to ride dad's trike again SOOO bad and I'm low on funds.
Does anyone have any experience ? Thoughts ? Suggestions ? THANKS SO MUCH !!

Master cylinder bore should match the wheel cylinders. What "Brake kit" did they use? Contact them to see what master cylinder they recommend. Is the master cylinder single or double reservoir? So many questions not sure h9w to get you pointed in the right direction. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |
