Unfortunately my very healthy 82 year old mother was exposed to covid.
She was taking precautions while exposed to the individual but now its a waiting game.
Gonna make for some sleepless nights I fear. |

My 61 year old brother-in-law died of covid a month ago, but he hated doctors & waited until it was too late to seek help! _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

We will never get a handle on this as long as some selfish mouth breathers continue to act out spreading this shit they think is fake. Yesterday at post office I witnessed a man coughing all over the PO Boxes. Not wearing a mask and making no attempt to cover he sprayed everything in front of him. How’d you like to be the next guy gathering your mail. So far I know of 3 guys dead because of the fake disease. My doctor got it so did my wife’s nephew they survived. Shazam😀 |

Check out what I posted in the good news thread, it'll make you sleep better. Tell you what, I'll save you the trouble and just copy and paste the relevant bit here:
Quote: |
According to the latest estimates (see sites listed below) by the CDC and Worldometer concerning the coronavirus pandemic, people under the age of 19 have a 99.997% chance of surviving a Covid 19 infection; people between 20 and 49 have a 99.98% chance; people between 50 and 69 have a 99.5% chance, and older than 70 have a 94.6% chance.
Of the cases still active at the moment, 99.4% have only mild symptoms, and about 40% never develop any symptoms at all (and the asymptomatic people appear to be 25% less infectious than the rest of us mere mortals).
That means only 0.6% of active cases are classified as severe to critical which require hospitalization and possibly the ICU, and if you do end up in the ICU, people between the ages of 50 and 65 still have a 90% survival rate, and people between 18 and 49 have a whopping 97.6% chance of survival. Older than 65? Well, it's not great, but you're still getting about 3 to 1 odds of pulling through.

Other than that, the only other advice I can give is to stop watching the news and try to get your information from an unbiased source. Preferably a source that doesn't make a profit by telling people sensational stories. You'll get more actual facts that way, and avoid a lot of the fear mongering and sensationalism. _________________ "It's time you started treating people as individuals, rather than mathematically predictable members of an aggregate set, regardless of how well that works."

And if you're dead because of it, your recovery rate is zero... |

True.
Then again, the same can be said for getting kicked in the head by a mule. _________________ "It's time you started treating people as individuals, rather than mathematically predictable members of an aggregate set, regardless of how well that works." |

X100 Its not that big a deal,i wear a mask 8 hrs a day at work.People want to use the its against my rights bla bla bla grow up !!!! Common sense isn't so common anymore. If you went in for a major surgery would it be ok for the hospital staff not to wear mask while operating on you...
