I haven’t been able to find any answers on this one? Who made/provided the convertible rear seats? Did these come from VW, karmann, Other coach builder? They don’t appear to be modified from sedan...

No leads? Anyone ever modify a sedan seat to fit a convertible ?

I think I have a extra rear vert seat from a 61, maybe easier than a sedan. I'm also from Indiana, Warsaw area

Gary. I might be interested in that seat. Can you send a picture of condition ?

aa309……. Yes, If you’re referring the very original brick red I did have that seat. In this post I’m referring to pre 1955 convertible seats. They are different size, shape, etc than later.

Overall I am looking for info on who made them.

I would guess, that since Kabs were coach builds from Karmann, had seats fabricated from outside jobbers?

Nope Karmen wasn´t involved either.

KARMANN is the name you are looking for. Wink

I would think the seats was made by same manufacturer that made seats for Volkswagen.
