I was, truly, just responding: "I really like that yellow and black." Not a Steelers fan, but it's a color combo you don't see too often.
Maybe go full yellow?

OMG NO!
And if I was to do a color change from the original Titian Red I'd have to change the color of the interior painted metal bits rather than do an external paint job back to Titian Red. (Yes I will pull the windows.... ) Currently when you open the doors you see this 'wonderful' transition line of yellow to red. Real lovely! _________________ Dave O

😂 too funny and true.
I was thinking about this while contemplating a 2-tone paint job-ha!
There’s a lot of exterior color visible in the interior when you open the door. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

So your whole fleet is (originally) Titian Red? Or is the Europe bus a different shade? What a cool coincidence. Methinks this is all cosmically linked to your football team affinity. _________________ Joe T.

Pretty close. My '87 Westy Entropy is Titian Red, The euro bus is Bordeaux, and the West Coast Westy is Titian Red. The tin top to be sold is Bordeaux.
And the WTFs are Burgundy (Titian Red) and Gold. _________________ Dave O

He's just scooping up free engines left and right! I'm glad to see mine go to someone who can potentially use it, as I'm sure you are as well.
The tin top cleaned up nicely with a wash. _________________ '87 Syncro

Yep, greedy greedy me!
Hopefully I'll end up with one good one, if there are enough good parts to make a second good one, I'll be sure to offer it to someone that can put it to use!
It was great seeing you guys! After Looking at your projects, I feel as though my Van is an EZ Peezy cake walk!
And for the record Dave with his 4 Vanagons is NOT a Vanagon hoarder, the guy who owns the property Dave has his two newest stored on IS A HOARDER!
They are everywhere! They are on the left! On the right! They are In front of you! Parked in Pairs, or singles alone ....... and mixed in among them are older type 2’s.
No more teasing Dave!
Dave's Europe build is really nice! Kudos!
His new Yellow camper? Well..... it IS yellow, I agree, it needs a respray.
I almost made it home before dark........ Dave talked way too much after loading up! No.... not him..... the other Dave.
Tomorrow before the big snow I'll rearrange the garage and unload.

I'm glad my obsession with Vanagon parts hunting worked out for somebody else!
I searched for a Neuspeed supercharger for a guy for about a year. When I finally found one, I sent him a message about it and a link. I was so excited.
He replied, "I gave up on that six months ago and put in a 1.8T." _________________ Joe T.

A very rare event taking place. John Charlton keeps this a secret but the NAHT occasionally molts in the spring. We were fortunate enough to just catch it in progress. You can see a very rare double molt as it sheds last years skins.
We were lucky enough to capture the molted skins before they flew off and they are now safely under our deck awaiting transplant onto the West Coast Westy and then the '87 Westy 3NTROPY.

And the Rheins are home ... picked them up in Florida on the way back from Key West. Thank you to Alaric for storing them for me.

So is that 4 at one time? You are a machine.
Remember, you can’t take it with you. Oh wait, they’re vans. You actually can take them anywhere. |
At this time yes four.
But I will sell the tin top to someone who will save it and put it back on the road. It is solid but has some bumps and bruises.
So only three long term... he says. |
