Your blinker stalk is a good find, together with the box. You will be installing it per one of the descriptions: "zur Zierde und Verstaerkung" is German for "for decoration and reinforcement". I bought a '65 Beetle rolling shell about 30 years ago that had this part already installed. I sold the car to a colleague at work who finished the assembly and drove it regularly, so I don't know how well it held up- but probably very well.
Do you have a photo of the 4th side, which would show the manufacturer? LIHA is probably from the first 2 letters of the founder's first and last name. |

I don't even have a FB account! I've resisted for years and always liked Craigslist. Now it seems like FB might be the way to go.

I took pics of the 2 ends and they also had the LIHA on it.
I don't even know if my turn signal stalk works or not yet but i will be using this and attaching it if it does! Thanks for the translation Rome! _________________ July 1959 Mango Standard Bus aka Obus L346 L347 https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256592&highlight=

I was also a hold out for Craigslist but after talking to people about non VW stuff i decided to dive in and actually the 1st item and only item i sold was my 2014 CRV with 159k on it and needing some work for 8k right before the pandemic hit in Jan 2020. It helped me pay off my 2018 volvo v90cross country which is a big help for my bad back vs the honda but i digress. I bought a lawn jockey on there and this turn signal bling!!! I highly recommend Facebook marketplace. _________________ July 1959 Mango Standard Bus aka Obus L346 L347 https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256592&highlight=

Yep not surprising.
All these guys take time, as long as they come through I wouldn’t fret too much. Most of them have more work than they know what to do with and figure if you can’t wait tonight luck. Sucks but that’s the way it it. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

With the front seat covers for my bus he answered the phone first time and had them done lickety split. I guess i know that was the exception. I'll have to weigh out my options as far as carpet. |
Its when the work isnt done that he doesnt call back. _________________ GhiaBuild

Oh wow. Maybe he misunderstood my messages then. I'm going to ring him and send one more email next week and if i don't hear back then i will either go Newton or see if my upholstery shop knows where to go for german style carpeting. He's worked on enough classic and sports cars to know by now i'm sure. _________________ July 1959 Mango Standard Bus aka Obus L346 L347 https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256592&highlight=

If you are looking for an upholstery, I was able to find some german square weave carpet at relicate in upstate NY. https://relicate.com/ Bought a yard for my BMW's parcel shelf and it is very nice but expensive. I think another source is GAHH in California, but I have not ordered from them. https://gahh.com/interior-trim-materials
Not sure if ether have something that matches 60's VW pattern, I was looking for BMW carpeting and that is all I could find.
