While taking the body off I accidentally bent the top of the door frame. How would I go about fixing this?

Bend the doubled up part nearest to the door down first. Do not pry it down or you will cause more damage. That part will bend down without issue because it has no crown. If it does not bend right back to were it was ,it's because other parts it's attached to have ,had the crown changed. Crown being a area that is convex or concave like a ball.
I would do this by welding on a tab and using a big slide hammer.
Another possible way might be to use one of these and work your way in with it by prying and pulling down. HF sells a cheap well reviewed Stud Gun that is good for other stuff as well that might be of help.
That's the best I can do without seeing the inside. Post back with your progress! |

Geez... don’t know why people do this. There was another guy on here that did the same trick. Ended up replacing his roof, that spiraled into having the window openings ever so slightly off shape. He pleaded for help installing the windows and since I was only about an hour away, I offered my help.
It took me half a day to get the front and back windows in his car.... usually I can do it in less than half an hour.
I’m not sure how to go about fixing that... there’s internal structure that is bent as well.... maybe a new shell or roof swap. Next time, don’t lift the body like that... get some help lifting it from each end. |
