What goes in this oblong hole on a '71 Bus.

The hole can be seen in this gallery photo, looks like a milky white plastic widget, like a screw receiver or something.

Should it be a plastic bracket for the pipe between reservoir and master cylinder on a '68 and '69? 211 611 831 or 831B is in the parts book?

But on a '70 or '71 it is just a hole or is there a plug supposed to be in it?

I looked at 2 71's, one had a flat plug the other didn't even have the hole (or I couldn't find it, dark and muddy under there) Confused , my 72 has the hole with nothing in it, it may have been taped over at one time), I also saw it on a 69 but I couldn't get close enough to probe further. The plug is really flat and plastic, a bit like the ones in the holes beside the tail lights, I'll try and get a closer look at one of them soon.

There's nothing running along there on all the ones I crawled under, but all of them had the brake reservoir behind the seat too, my first guess is the reservoir hose, probably a giant sized version of the clips that hold the heater cables up. Likely goes in the hole and twists 1/4 turn to lock in. My 68's are too buried to look at right now so hopefully someone else has the pedal pan off to see it.

Thanks BD. It appears to be in the parts book, at least the bit that is on a '68 or '69. Looks like it secures the reservoir tube on the years that have it in the front. I am going to root around for the plug in case I have it. Can't see the plug in the book. Plug goes in from the top?

Yes, from the top, and it looks round opposed to oblong. The one I found was gooped in brushed on paint so I couldn't see a number, I'll try and get it out for a clean up and see what it says.
