Long shot here...
Any chance the second set is a set of Udo Becker tool steel lifters?
The face are super smooth and have more crown than the CB performance set.

95% chance no,
but it's not impossible.

Check the runout on the face.
Put it in a vee block with a stop on one side of the face and an indicator at the other.

For reference, Udo Becker Lifter. Sorry I only cleaned up the one. The others were coated with Cam-Shield!

This lifter has not been run yet. Just hand cranked the crankshaft to make sure everything was working properly.

EDIT: 96gr.
