If that is an ample enough description of what I'm talking about!
It's attached to the car and it has a rubber/hard plastic black strip along its edge.
I need that black strip - wonder if it's a specific part for a Type 4 or it comes in lengths you can cut to fit your particular model? |

Drawing a blank here. The only slotted metal part I can think of is the rear valance strip that goes behind the muffler. No plastic or rubber attached.
The only other part shown by the parts book for the wagons...is on the sill near the lock latch. It is a channel for the weather strip that seals the lower edge of the rear hatch.

Okay, now I am comparing the two valance strips on my two 412s.
Sparkie, which has the stock exhaust, has no rubber/plastic strip along the bottom edge. Rolling Thunder has an EMPI dual exhaust and I guess the previous owner put this strip along the edge of the valance because the metal was coming so close to the muffler.
Well half of this strip has worn away and fallen off, so I was looking for that.
On the other hand I was also thinking of taking this dual exhaust off ( it's kinda loud ) and installing a stock exhaust. I don't suppose this will alter the tuning or anything? |

There is the heat shield above the mufflar, but not aware of a black plastic strip. Better description or photo would help.
