Bought a "Running" Bradley GT.
Not paying a lot and it is supposed to have had a lot of work done to it.
"Rebuilt engine", fresh brakes, pan repaired, working lights!
Needs paint of course, and no doors as that plastic went away long ago.
I know they are a bit of a joke as being cheap kit cars but it should actually be pretty practical for me.
A bit more (A very small bit!) stylish than a Manx type with slightly more weather protection, while still being capable of driving the occasional unpaved road.
Have a fairly long drive coming up to go and fetch it but should have it on the road very quickly. |

Nothing wrong with a Bradley GT. Its a great way to get into the kit car hobby.
They are simple, pretty well built, and pretty easy to make your own.
One of the worst things people do is buy a very complicated kit (like an Avenger or Sterling) as their first kit and get overwhelmed. |

Graphics can do a lot for a Bradley. Plus this guy has done something behind the targa bar.

Graphics sure do help! That's a pretty good looking Bradley. |

Hoping to pick up the Bradley on Wednesday.
It is a "fast-back" version.
Need something simple to drive that can endure occasional Nevada dirt roads.
No doors of course, so I will have to make something.
Thinking of just fitting vinyl and isinglass over a simple aluminum framework. |

Yes, nice graphics. They should have put a "curve" in the white graphic just in front of the rear tire to match the curve of the fender above it. The sharp corner throws it off. Tom _________________ Manxter #16, 1968 Meyers Manx & Kick-Out SS #16 (WIP)

I just noticed a local junkyard has a bradly body painted green with Christmas lights on it. It’s sitting on top of a container. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Well, I made it home with the Bradley.
'68 pan so swing axle, kind of a bummer there.
1600 DP engine, nothing fancy, claimed to be rebuilt.
Brakes are rebuilt and work, even the parking brake.
Corvette windshield glass is not broken but may be fatally pitted.
Body is going to be the big job.
Need to get rid of the faded flake paint and fix somebodies attempt at bonding the rear fast-back plexigalss to the rear deck.
So it's less of a project than some of my cars but not as simple to do as I had hoped.
Pics once I get it off the trailer. |

Mechanically it's pretty good, body is ugly but not broken up too much.
I do not want to meet the genius who thought Bondo'ing in the rear window was a good idea.

I like it! They look cool in person to me, especially with the right wheels/tires. Looks almost done, nice that you can finish it any way you like. Keep posting pics. I have passed on a couple nice Bradleys over the years, I am tall and had trouble fitting in. |

Well, I've always thought of the Bradley GT-1 as a Dune Buggy with a sort of Sports Car body.
Lots of similarities to a Meyers Manx.
VW pan and drivetrain obviously, no real doors, one-piece tub, sits a bit high.
When these were new my friends and I all laughed at them as we had Jaguars, Alfa Romeo, Austin Healey, etc.
I still have British and Italian sports cars but got this as it will be good as a daily driver runabout and no worries over our local unpaved roads.
Not planning to take it on the rough trails, I have a Land Rover for that.
A little disappointed that it is a swing axle suspension but I'm not planning to hammer it in the corners and I do have a Z bar to put on it.
Eye of the beholder indeed, I'm already turning down offers on it. |

This morning I sent forms and $22.00 to the CA DMV, wish me luck!
May have to drag the car to CA for a VIN verification but I'm hoping not.
If I do it will have to wait until the snow melts. |

I really like the look of the early style Bradley GT too. Most of the simplicity of the Manx style with a sporty style that fully covers the tires and engine. _________________

I kinda like them. The one I built had a custom rear hatch which kinda grew on me. The owner did the seats up real nice and with a 3" body lift it had decent headroom.
