I was moving one of my hoods around and the corner bottom area caught my eye. It seemed odd,..... I thought, maybe I had not paid attention but something didnt look correct. So I went to see all my other oval hoods, and all had the usual folded lip.
This other hood, both sides did not have the curved corner inner lip folded down. Check out the pictures, I'm sure me trying to explain the difference, is confusing.
Has anyone seen this unfolded lip? Is it common or was this some freak error during production?

By the chew marks along the rear edge (?) of the hood...
Kind of looks like someone cut it & then peeled the open hem back in the corners, like, a corner gusset...
I could be wrong too, just sayin'. _________________ ::: Slowoval ::: LaDawri Sebring ::: '61 Creampuff ::: Dust Storm '66 ::: |

I had an hood that was 4 bolt, original coral red paint on the underside with undercoating.
It had the exact same piece of funky metal.
I had never seen this before on other oval hoods.
Again, original paint on underside of hood.
