after splitting a 36hp case i came across this down by the oil pickup tube.any idea what the tool is for?

It’s to help reduce windage in the sump. Made by MAC... it could also be used as a pry bar/lever but I usually save that kinda abuse for cheaper windage bars.

Babbit scraper left behind when no babbit could be found. Damned new fangled shell bearings.
