Square nut - under dash

does anyone know the tread size for the square nut that is welded under the dash on the drivers. This square nut is what helps hold and support the speedo cable tube to the speedometer in the front cowl.

Previous owner welded mine shut, therefore I need to tap it to the correct size.

Ehh she is close to be done. Getting sent to paint shortly. They are running a bit behind
