|

Periodically, people try to find a fog light switch that fits nicely in the dash. I was unable to locate the old Porsche switch that people like so I bought this one on Amazon. It works well with a tiny bit of modification to the switch.
In the photos, you'll see where I shaved off part of the latch tongs and a small alignment tab. It fits very well with no adjustment to the vehicle switch opening.

Nice find. It looks like the same switch (20mmx28mm) is available with different color lights.

Nice work. If your don't mind waiting a few weeks, th same switch is $0.98 plus + $0.58 shipping on AliExpress. If the link goes bad, search "fog light switch."

Are you sure it for a foglight?
Could be for the electric shower. _________________ This free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Is it really one for $6 and four for $7
Well, this is a no brainer!

I agree that it makes no sense so I asked. It seems they show the four colors but only send one. This is an example of Amazon's lousy QC.

When I saw this post about four for only a dollar more, I ordered them from Amazon on Saturday. They came today. I got four switches - one of each color _________________ '85 Vanagon Westfalia

I second this, my four switches (each a different color) just arrived - this is a great deal (assuming they work fine) _________________ 87 Syncro Westy EJ25 ("Tardis")

^^^ Holy cow. I just ordered them so I can answer my own question on Amazon. Plus, these will work for a different car project I've got.
Thanks for confirming. _________________ - Jim

I got mine as well. Thanks again for the info. I'm adding this copied picture off Amazon for the wiring of these switches. I tested mine against the picture, and it worked as noted.
