My 67 fastback should be back in my hands in a few weeks and I need to get my mind around the headliner installation. I'll be using Dynamat on the underside of the roof.

I have the old headliner with its bows. Should there be clips of any kind or do the bows just fit into holes in the roof?

I have a new headliner from ISP:

I'm interested in any instructional videos you may have found useful. This is my first time. Wink

This is what the bows secure into.

Ok, I'm learning tons.

I'm getting ready to do my headliner on my 1969 Squareback.

What are these headliner bows? I don't have any headliner bows. Where can I find them.

Bows are metal wires that get inserted into headliner

Check the diagram here https://vwispwest.com/type3/body/interior/fastback/headliner-panels-carpet-trunk-liner-trim/

It will make more sense. For fastback it appears that there are 3 different parts besides the headliner itself. Now I never installed a headliner on a fastback, only on a beetle.

you'll have a hard time doing your headliner without bows, that's what keeps it up

I did a step by step on my headliner install
