Hi guys!
My 64 has SU coded locks, if I buy handles which have SC coded cylinders can I just move over my cylinders or is the internals of the handle different? I like that my car has its original key still, and for some silly reason it seems prudent to keep my key code and keys matching, but I can’t find a real nice set of SU handles (as close to NOS as possible, if not NOS) so I got to thinking - maybe I can just buy a really nice set of SC handles and transfer my lock cylinders over.
Figured I’d ask before I buy.
Anyone familiar?
Thanks!
Mike

Sounds do-able, based on a different lock swap I did successfully. Mine required a very little bit of, um, hacking; but, it work'd! Here's a post about it with a link to some very helpful lock info:

I think as long as the handles are from the same maker, as in both are Huf or both are AKS the cylinders should be a direct swap.
If not the cylinders the entire button should swap over with a couple of screws
