Hello VW community, I have a 1986 Vanagon waterboxer. I’m in need of an engine yoke so I can mount my motor on an engine stand. I’m not sure if one of the 2 arm yokes will work. Any recommendations?
Thanks so much. |

An engine and a transmission walk into a bar. The bartender yells. "Get outta here! We don't serve two headed trans here!"
Ba'dum'dah...
I just flew in from New York and boy, my arms are tired. I'll be here all week. _________________ - Jim

I was going to buy one of these, I have a two arm empi and it is flimsy and weak. I mainly do type 1 stuff but wanted a 3 or 4 arm for strength but I heard someplace that the 3-4 arm units have trouble clearancing some of the tin on type 1 engine, is this true and if so what is the issue?
I really want the added strength of a 3-4 arm but I also would like to completely build my engine on the stand, tins and all.
