Drumming up lots of interest. Might be some extra tight parking this year. _________________ I had a life but my job ate it...

I’m Very late to this and looking like it’s full capacity now, so not sure?
I’ll have to reach out to Stan. _________________ I had a life but my job ate it...

Getting pretty excited. This is my 18th straight year getting to Salem in October, it NEVER. GETS. OLD. Stan says we’re in for a great turn out this year and I can’t wait to see everyone. I’ll be coming up with my minty-fresh ‘64 Bug and my friends Jess and Brooke will be with me likely driving my recently acquired ‘84 Westy (their own Beetle is giving issues)
We’re coming up Thursday - looking like a 10am ferry into New London. Friday might become a day to take the train or the commuter ferry into Boston for some exploring and Saturday will be left for adventures around the Witch City.
As with years past, I anticipate we’ll get our usual group rally going down to the show. We usually roll out at 8 am sharp so if you’re planning on joining expect it to be an early morning. Even though the typical road race is not taking place we’ll follow our usual route which still helps us avoid traffic lights and “city blocks” which will ultimately help us keep the group as together as possible.
If you have a FRS radio (the little family radios) bring it. They help for the ride!
This is the usual route, I’ll have some paper copies with me for the morning trip.
← Exit Winter Island Marine Park and Campground turn left onto Fort Avenue.
↗ In ½ mile, Fort Avenue curves to the right, follow Fort Avenue and cross over Essex Street.
↖ Fort Avenue becomes Webb Street. Keep to the left lane of Webb Street.
← In ½ mile, turn left at the end of Webb Street onto Bridge Street.
← After ½ mile all of Bridge Street will turn left.
Note: This is a quick light – the caravan will stop to gather again ahead.
↑ Keep to the center lane on Bridge Street, the right lane is an exit lane and the left is a turn lane only.
→ In 1 mile turn right onto Boston Street.
↑ After ½ mile Boston Street will become Main Street.
↑ Continue on Main Street.
↑ After ½ mile Main Street will become Lowell Street
↑ Follow Lowell Street for 1 ½ miles
↖ Bear left onto Forest Street
← At the end of Forest Street, turn left on to Summit Street.
→ Take the first right onto Centennial Drive
↗ Bear right to the entrance for MA-128 towards Boston/Gloucester
↑ Remain on MA-128, which will merge with I-95 for 29 miles.
↗ Take exit 20A to MA-9 East This Is Boylston Street (Sign Marked Brookline/Boston)
↑ Remain on Boylston Street for 5 miles.
→ Turn right onto Lee Street, in 1 mile Lee Street will become Clyde Street.
↑ Continue on Clyde Street for 0.5 mile to Newton Street.
← Turn left onto Newton Street
↗ The road will split, bear to the right.
The entrance to Larz Anderson Auto Museum is on the left. _________________ Mike

Just booked my ferry up! I’m getting into Salem on Thursday. Have a 10 am ferry, so depending on any side excursions I’ll be up mid afternoon.
Hoping for good weather! _________________ Mike

Ferry is booked. Should be pulling in around 10pm. Will the gates be open or do I need to call someone? _________________ -=Rob
