I remember that one.

Are those bug rims? I don't see the vents. No lower rocker trim. Should have pointed bumpers. Where's the church key hole and cover for tank flap?

'67 has the pull tab fo the gas door and not a church key.
Rad 21 window to have. It's M-coded for a full length middle seat but that short '67 middle that folds over is the only one I have ever seen like that and I rather rock that one than a double flipper. |

i thought rocker trim also. In the pictures on BAT a receipt says lower rocker trim but someone on BAT said slider door deluxes didnt have lower trim. so not sure |
That would make sense, the trim would have had to be in two pieces, and would snag.

They must have got a '67 flap then:

What a rare and cool bus. It needs a few things changed out to be totally correct but still. Anyone want to guess what price it sells for.
My guess is $132,500 _________________ September 1964 Standard Sunroof walk through SWR/BG original paint. |

It sold back in 2015, someone claimed it went for $$160k unless they were joking. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Yeah not sure why he mounted the side with the arm up against the left door vs the other side. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

That is strange, my guess is because it's a dual-slider, there's no long wall provisions for the middle seat armrest, and a left hand driver would probably open the right slider more often here in the US, making it look like it has the correct amount of armrests behind the driver. That's probably not even a good guess. _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |

That is not the original middle seat to that 21window. If memory serves me correct, that short middle seat was mounted in the middle of whatever '67 double door it came out of instead of to one side. The past owner of the 21 window mounted it to the mounts that were in the floor which lined up like a normal short middle seat.
That bus is begging for the correct Aero Papyrus seat covers that Corey Blackdogg1999 sells and blue floor mats.
That bus is blinged out with M-Codes. Seriously one of the most desirable 21 windows out there. |

I think in the thread someone said it came with a full bench and thus needed the double flipper. If that’s the case, being a walkthrough, it would be Mcoded for full bench, at least that’s how it is on my sons walkthrough standard sunroof. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I had meant the new owner doing the restore, made that executive decision to add the short middle seat with that armrest the way it currently looks, I was guessing he did it that way, in order to match the panel armrest in the back seat.
But yes, M-code 241 is deluxe long-middle seat, and should have the double-flipper.
Didn't the airport double-slider have a bench in the middle of the cargo area, with no back rest? _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |

20 minutes left. $72,500??? If this goes for less than that fake red and white 23 a couple of weeks ago, then... I don't know.
16 minutes left - $80,000
5 minutes - $80,500
4:30 - $85,000
2 - $86,000
1:50 - $99,912
2 minute reset - $101,000
SOLD - $101,000
That truly was a one of a kind bus, last year 1967, and about every option you could get, a true collector car. Congrats to the new owner, he stole it! _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |

The highest bid was $101,000 and the reserve price was not met. I don't blame them I think it is worth more than that. _________________ September 1964 Standard Sunroof walk through SWR/BG original paint. |
