Correct. Both liquid and air cooled. Guess what engineers call air in cooling analyses? fluid flow.

There you go! Just marketing gag.
I have nothing against VW and the so called “Great lie scandal “. They made a great little Diesel engine that few companies have matched especially in North America. It was a resounding success. I loved all 4 of ours, they just have not come up with anything better. Or anything that stands out in the current market place.
Isn’t it strange the politicians and other large corporations can lie like a sidewalk every day of the week to no real consequence but VW pulls the wool over the federal government emissions eyes once and we never hear the end of it.
Actually the emmisions testing measurement regime is so flawed as to be laughable! _________________ We had the stone age, the bronze age, the industrial age and now we are in the age of mass deception and mind control for corporate profit. (The mass media age)

I guess technically all our cars are air cooled as the air is removing heat from radiators weather they be water filled or finned. _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”

Leasing.....transferring money from the stupid to the rich since the beginning of time.

We test drive the ID.3 because we have access to a discounted lease deal including charger installation. It was a very 'grown up' car. Solid and well put together. I've been a passenger in several EVs that don't feel as well built.
Whether we'll bother leasing one, I don't know. I still have a fundamental problem with battery EVs.
As far as "Voltswagen" goes, I think they'd be daft to at least not register it as a trade mark and company name globally. If they don't, someone else will. Maybe they'll use it as a giimick in the early years of full EV production, maybe not, but it makes sense to take steps to be able to. _________________ Andy

and they did have that electric chassis for late 70's convertible not long ago...
Doubt I'd buy any new cars from them in a while or ever..but I'll go test drive a few. |

And the idea that a lie can be justified as being so foolish on the face of it to not be believed won't work for VW any better than it will for certain ex-lawyers of certain politicians. From the link:

Typically, OEMs insert some sort of language as a tell when they write up a fake release, unless the gag is so absurd as to be obvious. The telling language is usually a subtle way of saying “we’re just joking” to any journalist who hasn’t yet had enough caffeine to process a prank. |

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Is VW really the company to be joking about telling the truth these days?

Good for them! In business, doing anything to get the marketplace talking about you, is a win, regardless if it becomes concrete. _________________ Jimbo
