Ok my buddy has a drag car he acquired with Berg 42 specials. Didn’t come with a pump etc.
he has the red Holley now which puts out 7 psi max
Flows 71 GPH at 4 psi. It says doesn’t require a regulator in instructions, does it ?
Engine is 2110 w FK89 and it ran mid 7s in the 8th if that helps _________________ CHEAP - FAST - RELIABLE

I would say it doesn’t require a regulator for V8 carbs that are run around 6psi.
I’ve also never had a set of DCNF’s, but I would assume they are like most of the common Weber/Dellorto VW used, and need less than 3psi. If that’s the case, then yes, you will need a regulator. I’ve had a Red pump with a 12-804 regulator on some HPMX’s going on 9 years. Another friend has had good results with Aeromotive’s 13204 if you are thinking of using a return line. |

Regulator set to 2.5-3lbs at idle is a must. This is a good one:

I had a 1-4 psi fuel pump that consistently put out higher pressure. I installed that Holley regulator (linked above) set at 3 psi and all is well. _________________ Neil.
