I cannot seem to find this info anywhere on The Samba or the WWW...

I have a total of 5 front bucket seats. One is a fair bit bigger than the other 4. They are all late model ones with the adjustable arm rest. All gray. A couple of headrest color options - gray and gray/black.

The bigger one is about 2" deeper (front to back) and a bit wider and has a somewhat taller seat pad, too.

My Syncro was a Country Homes thing so only has one swivel (passenger) and I will put the bigger seat on the driver's side. None of the seats are original, I guess, as this is an '86 and those had the non-adjustable arm rests, right?

Just curious here as I did not know that there was ever more than one size. Would never have thought to check while looking for a replacement as I was when I got this bigger one by chance!

PS: 5 seats = two vans X 2 seats + 1 "new" replacement.

Sewfine has grasciously provided measurements of these seats. pg 34 of this catalog. You appear to have measured the differences well...or the same as Sewfine, and they would know.

My '85 did not have adjustable armrests, my '90 does. I thought '86 had adjustable armrests but maybe it was a mid-year change. Someone will come around with facts so better just wait for them. Very Happy

Thanks for that. I never would have thought to look at Sewfine for that. Makes sense.

I got Wet Okele covers and I don't remember them differentiating.

So, in my van this should be about perfect. I will no longer be recessed behind the wheel.
