Hi there,
I have a 1303 1973 LHD, I am put it back and discovered that the arms are different in lenght but the blades are the same 320mm.
I saw that they sell also 380mm blades.
So I am wondering what is the correct position for them, there are no marks for left and right and I was thinking to put the longer arm on the passenger side with the 320mm blade ( no room for the 380mm with the long blade) and the short arm with a 380mm blade in front of the driver ( there should be enough space.
Any ideas ?
Thank you |

I believe mine are both the same but mine also has a 1971 body instead of a 1973 even though the chassis is a 1973. . When I get home I’ll check just to see. |

Taken from the internet:
The driver side wiper arm usually has a longer link from where it bolts to the wiper transmission to the point where it pivots (if that makes sense). And yah the longer blade goes on the driver side. |

So I will use the short arm with the long blade on the driver side and long arm with the short blade on the passenger side. |

Thank you very much a lot of nice info into the manual....
But looking from the pictures to me looks that, except the police one, the brochure and the other car have the small wipers blade on driver side .
And none of them have the wiper set like the manual:

I think that these are for a Standard Beetle so flat screen, mine is a 1303 so curved and bigger screen.
But you help me to solve the mistery, on the same website the list the arms for the 1303 and the small one is for the left and the longer for the right. |
