Hi Forum,
Can someone tell me what kind of decal this white one with red is? It has the VW logo, some unknown logo and the word 'card' in three languages with '248' next to it. Google isn't helping.

That is an info sticker for the old VW onboard central diagnostic plug. The sticker indicates which program "punch card" to use in the dealership diagnostic machine for this vehicle.
VW stopped using this system over 40 years ago.
The sticker indicates the technician use punch card #248 to troubleshoot your bus.

Thanks for the quick reply! I suppose the diagnostic plug is the one attached to the TDC sensor on the engine? It's the wire that's kinda hanging loose.

actually that was a separate hook up to the machine along withe the central diagnostic plug. but both are for the same machine. |
