I had another look at my work over the weekend, and actually it doesn't seem so bad, I think I was just worried about blowing holes whiles trying to fix some of the smaller spots and/or making the metal even thinner when trying to grind back those fixes.

I watched Fitzee's video on repairing thin panels, and that knowledge combined with using the flap wheel to just knock down the top of the grind and then using a 36 grit with a flexible backing I think should get me there.

Cheers for the advice!
