i have the cb magnaspark dist..I have the blk bushing installed which stop the adv at 15. So I have a total of 33 and all in by 4000 rpms. Mabey I should start at 15 at idle ?....Bill ,I will try that too.thx

You should have total advance in a lot sooner than 4k RPMs. Change the busing for this in the distributor when you are at it.

Nice to see Bill posting here as well. Take his advise it only take a minute to check w/o the gas cap.

Literally drive the car down the street without the gas cap on. Or, if that scares you, make a temporary one with a large vent hole, something like a big cork/rubber stopper just to test this. If it goes away you have fuel starvation because of the lack of venting.
