Just looking for helpful information. I have a fender I believe is a pre 1949 or 1947 but not sure.

Does anyone knows the specifications for a 1947 type 1 front fender?
Any help will be appreciate.
Thank you .

1947 still had these slots for headlight position, this car is late 47:

You say in the ads section that you have a wing/fender, which you think is either 47 or 49, and would like some info on what a 47 wing looks like.

Can you show me pictures of what the underside of the wing/fender looks like please, especially where it curves round under the front. Where the metal tucks under, and out of sight, is the edge uniform? Also, what does it have to hold the headlamp retaining screw in place.

I ask these questions because I have what I believe is an original wing/fender from my 47, but doesn't fit into the tab and cut out scenario that Mika mentions. We're all learning, all of the time!

If the og color is L37 Mittelblau, then were talking late split/early oval era.
