Hello all. Long time reader first time poster here. Can anyone in this wonderful community help me identify this component so I can decide how and if I can attach the vacuum line. Long story short I swapped my 1.9 for a go Westy 2300 and installed the new coolant conversion system. Everything so far is great. I am only about 60mi into the new engine but so far so good. However the vacuum lines are a bit different and I have one that I can’t figure out how it ties in. I am not even sure what the component is where the vacuum line originated and that is the part I am hoping you all can help me with. I uploaded the pic so maybe someone can see and identify it and tell me how or if I can tie it in. Basically it’sa canister looking component behind the drivers side taillight. Thank you in advance.

Left over remnants of an Aftermarket Cruise control unit. Take it out, if it's not needed it could just be a problem down the road.
