So I will probably have to pull the engine, again, and check the gas tank. It seemed like a gas problem today.

Are any contaminants showing up in the carburetor bowl?

The gas looks clean in the fuel filter and carb.

Do you have an electric choke and pilot solenoid? Check coil power wire and branches for touching to metal. You could alligator clip a long wire onto the coil+ then bring that to the cab to a volt meter then ground the volt meter. Watch for failure synchronized with the miss.

Good idea. Given that the stalling took 100 miles to manifest (the last time), this set-up might be inconvenient. However, when it is doing that hiccupping, it happens for several minutes so I could get my voltmeter and check for that shorting during the incident.

Just trying to eliminate things to narrow it down. If it was missing just running it in the driveway you could check it at the coil but be careful.

So I put the 34 PICT carb back in and tried a new condenser in the distributor. It started up fine. We went on an 80 mile loop, ready to call a wrecker again (if needed), and it ran great. No stumbling whatsoever. Could a bad condenser have caused all that stalling?

I hope so because I would rather not have to remove the gas tank, that being the last possible source of these problems.

The new condenser could be flaky. Maybe try another condenser

A bad condenser will behave that way.

As will an intermittent coil. If it misses again, see if the coil is getting abnormally hot.
Not all bad coils will heat up, but some do.
