Hi everyone

I'm tackling my suspension over the next couple weeks and have everything disassembled at the moment. My rear trailing arm mounts have some rust spots but are not rusted through by any means.

I'd like to sand and re-paint them. What would your folks' recommendation be for paint? I'd imagine I need something a little more robust than just rattle can paint but am fairly clueless on body work/paint etc.

Literally any white spray paint. That's just not an area where you're going to notice. Sand, wipe down, and paint. Really the only thing you should be concerned with is making sure all the loose chipped paint is off. And tape off the body.

You can remove the door slider rail cover and take it into the store if you want to get picky about shades/tints of white.

The most important part is your basic prep leading up to the final topcoat.
Get rid of all the rust first and good primer, then top it.
I would not worry about sanding between coats because honestly even if you shine your shoes how often do you look at the shoes of the people your standing there talking too?
It's there, but it's not the front hood so it gets no attention.
You still have to do it well so the paint sticks to it!

I'd have no qualms using Rustoleum, Duplicolor or any of the brand names rust preventive paints on it.

Awesome, thank you for the advice! I'll be tackling it this weekend.
