I think I have blown a fuse trying to replace the dome light with an LED light. I can't seem to locate the fuse. Does anybody know where it is? Also, was an LED light a bad idea? Cheers!

Helps to learn how to read the electrical schematic for your year. Getting a copy of the diaphragm enlarged at a print shop and then laminated isn't a bad idea. This drawing can be found in the Technical Section which shows up towards the top right of every Samba page. Note that the fuse box is reversed.

I think he means your signature line. A 1970 1600cc would be a Type 1.

Did the fuse fix your light? Im curious how that LED bulb works. LEDs have a polarity, and I would imagine its possible to put a bullet type bulb in backwards.

Ha. I did that line several years ago trying to sound like I knew what I was talking about. Never even looked at it since.

Yes, the #11 fuse had blown. I have power to the dome light but the new LED ceiling light is being a bit temperamental. Works one minute and not the next. The door feature doesn't seem to work at all I can't seem to figure it out. It's a cheap thing I picked up off amazon so not too worried.

That is what I was talking about. If you have a type 4 motor in a 70; Very cool, if you have a type 4 motor that is 1600cc different, if you have a type 4 motor that is not duel port I want one. I see you changed your signature line to type 1. I was hoping you had a type 4 1600cc motor. I think that would be cool.
