You can see the MC reservoir high and to the right in the photo. In my 73, a windshield washer reservoir is mounted in that location, but it is much larger in size.

Weird. Looks like this body was retrofitted with a later fluid reservoir.

Yes the bracket in OP’s photo is for the brake fluid reservoir on the early cars.

That’s where it is on my ‘65 and I think there is a dual circuit version of that reservoir as well so it was there until at least 1967.

Ok, the front clip was replaced with an older one so the gas fill is under the hood. So this is where the older Brake Fluid would be located?

Yup, that's how my 65 Notch was when I got it. But now I've since relocated it like that photo is. In my case, I moved it there, and blue hosed it so I could limit the number of possible leaks to 4 (the connections at the hose ends). I wasn't worried about "originality", as I also welded in engine hanger mounts for my IRS conversion.
