We’ve fitted a couple 25mm bmw masters with residual valves front and rear. There’s a thread here where we got the idea, but are converting the front line to a banjo bolt to avoid notching the cluster. Much improved pedal and stopping.

Hawk pads doesn't show product for early Vanagon anymore. I saw a mention that 911 pads of the era can be made to work and the aforementioned commonality of the calipers supports that. Anyone know?

I’m running hawk 911 pads for non vented rotors on our 82. The difference is the pad thickness. I bought 2 sets on close out from tire rack. I can look for the spare set and get you the Hawk number. No modification was required.

Edit: Hawk Performance number. HB171F.720

not having braking problems they are good, im just looking at options that's all, i have rear disc converted my van now so they are good all round.

Then I would NOT change the brakes.

Replace the rubber hoses and then replace the brake fluid every 2-3 years.

People seem obsessed with Brake Bling but often wind up with worse performance or a headache.
