Hi,

Thanks for the add to the forum!
Im in no rush but proaling round considering my first T25, looking for a pop top to take the misses and little ones for days out and the odd over nighter.

I think ive narrowed it down to a few conversions and im now into the fine detail, im wondering if you could help!
Im liking the Viking, Auto Sleeper and Devon.
Whats the diffrence between the Viking and Super Viking? This roof seems to go massive, big enough for us all to sleep?!
The Auto Sleeper is also high up on the list, it looks lovely but I dont think the roof is as big?
And the Devon, is the roof in the Devon smaller than the Viking?

Ive not managed to get in to the detail of the insides of them, which has rotating seats, seat belts (4 seat belts are a must).
The early auto sleeper U shaped seating is very appealing but I think you miss out on a rotating passenger seat?

Then it goes to engines, I prefer the idea of a petrol but I see many have diesels fitted - do these work out more economical (and useable)?
I was reading the 2.1 petrol is the most useable but thirsty?

Im not one for modiyfying and lowering and all that, I kinda like keeping it as original as possible but it needs to be useable, safe and reliable (?!) and have chrome wheel caps!
Even better if I can find one thats a tidy garaged one thats not being painted (and ideally as little rust as possible)!

Anyway, sorry for all the questions - if you have any info or advice id love to hear from you.

Thanks again, Slackbladder

Try asking in the Vanagon Forum, this one is for Type 3 - Squareback, Notchback, Fastback, and Type 34 Ghia.
