Hello, looking for someone who can help me find this bellow part.
Number 2 in diagram. Its a rubber seal.
I tried looking on google with no luck, and searching online vw part stores.
Need part for 78 bay bus

I could not find it so I used one that’s used on each end of the shift rod tube. It doesn’t prevent leaks. It keeps dust off. If you have a bad hockey stick seal this won’t help

Like Aeromech said, this is only a dust boot. Appears you have a oil leak and may also need a seal. Looks like this is what ya need too.

From what I have read the correct boot for a late model Bay would be part number 211 711 115A but has in the past been no longer available. A quick Google search shows Just Kampers has repop boots of this style. So in lue of the 211 301 289A has worked in the past.

The newly available 091 boot only works well with the corresponding shift coupler shape. Several manufacturers make them, but supply chains are always changing. Shop local or call around…
