OK- the van is 34 years old, so a factory match might not really match, but I've had some dents pulled and the filler sanded and primed. So I'm looking for a brand and color name or the number of a silver-grey spray can that will come close, There are lots of car parts in my urban area, so I'm sure if it's a brand available in the US, I'll find it easily. Thanks- I can't wait to see it looking its best, after 32 years of dings and dangs. -Chris in northern VA |

The best way is go to an automotive paint store with your van, they will use a paint reader and make a few spray cans for you. There are lot of "silver-grey" and it not easy pick one for you. |

Take the sliding door rail cover off and into any store that sells paint. Look for a cap that is close (or several) and buy them to test which is the closest.
Auto paint stores sometimes can mix up spray cans as well. _________________ '87 Syncro

you might be interested to find out just what your paint code is.. Some still have the sticker, its under the fuse panel, kind of above the clutch pedal area..
My silver happens to be LP7Y X9 (Lacquer, Flash Silver) and I just go on the internet and order 12oz spray cans of that color for touchups..
I'll go snap a pic to show you where to look..
