My apologies as I m new to VW's, just purchased new 1600 cc dual port and new transaxle, the selector shaft coming out of the tranny will not move with or without the shifter/coupling connected, cannot get any gears, any ideas? |

They can get stuck, or the hockey stick can get stuck. Do you know anybody experienced? last time a friend had the issue we ended up pulling the engine and trans and replacing the worn hockey stick in the nose cone _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

You might need to define “new” for us as VW stopped making new engines and transaxle for our cars many many years ago. If you bought rebuilt units then the builder should warranty them. If it’s just new to you but well used then the possibilities are nearly endless.
