2021 M.A.M. "FunFest for VWs" June 4th-5th, 2021 Effingham, IL

A caravan of old VW Transporters will be setting out in moments from now for a scenic backroads drive over to attend the MAM FunFest VW event At Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, IL. We've got a fantastic weekend weather forecast and a lot of pent-up anticipation for a gathering of old VWs and lots of VW enthusiasts on the MAM campus. We hope to see some of you there! Swap meet and car show site, here I come!

It was an excellent return of the M.A.M. "Funfest for the VW" weekend in Effingham...

Attendees, please post up some of your photos! Approximately 300 VWs at minimum were on the M.A.M. Campus for the 2 day festivities. We were in the encampment on the south end of the show field with a bunch of Vanagon Westfalia Campers and a few Split-Bus Campers, and we definitely "over-enjoyed" ourselves. It was so much fun to be back together! It was great to see Mike and Laurie and their staff, and lots of VW friends and enthusiasts come out of the woodwork after the negative events of the past 15 months. A lot of happy VW faces were in attendance!

A huge thank you to Mike and Laurie and their MAM staff for a great revival of their event as the pandemic winds down, and for their hospitality!

I usually take a lot of pictures, I got started taking pictures with my phone as I left my camera in the camper. I'm afraid I got distracted and didn't finish, I can't believe it! Here are the few I took. We had a great time, it was a really nice weekend.
