I took the belly pan off and oil was on the bottom of some of the engine parts and on the pan. Looks like oil. It’s kinda on everything. Nothing actively leaking. My oil has never dropped between oil changes and the oil looks clean after changing. Where can it be from?
One mechanic said maybe the head gasket. Should I put in a head gasket sealer. The car works but has misfired in the past and just had a cylinder 4 misfire (replaced myself) and has a cooling system malfunction. But it does not seem the leak is causing too much of a problem.
Pictures of where I found the oil like substance.

I’d start with the most likely. The oil cooler housing seal. The thing with leaks is the air can blow it around in funny places. But whatever you do don’t add that sealer. That can cause a nightmare of issues if someone ever try’s to rebuild the engine or take apart. |

Very light seep, could even just be residual oil from PCV. Clean it off with engine cleaner and see what comes back. _________________ .ssS! |

I agree, and emphasize this point. Those seals on the oil cooler eventually all fail, with engine ruining consequences. A new set of seals is a great idea, even if they're not leaking! |
