5 prototypes were made but I saw this one in person at the Wolfsburg vw museum in Germany. Cool u joints for the front cvs
And how about that exhaust thru the rea bumper. Vw did hacks too

The thing I loved the most about seeing the 4x4 Bay is that it was put out on display in the museum with worn tires and globs of mud in the wheelwells and dried-out grease on the undercarriage. I half expected to see an empty can of Spezi rolling around on the floorboards when I peeked through the window. |

All of the color pictures in the article are of the Westy version. the black and white pics of the very original 4x4 bus is a tin top. |
