I just came across a near new set of FRDs with the CB linkage and air cleaners Would these support a mild 2110 built more for torque than rpm? Thanks for any insight

Replace the venturies to 29 mm if not already present. Depending on the cam especially it will run fair.

They would work ok, but highly rec to go with a set of real carbs for that engine, dellorto drla or weber idf.

In my first few years of minor modifications to VW engines, I bought and read Gene Berg's parts catalogs and tech articles. I remember this example as to carburetors: http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=8_237

Thanks for the insight guys. I figured they would be a bit small. I have been planning a mild stroker for my Bug, and I was hoping I could use the carbs.

FRDīs will support up to around 115 hp max, if whatīs below is in a proper combo. Part of finding the last 10 hp is in the manifolds.
