brakes?

Will syncro rotors work on 2wd?

Are they better than 2wd? Can you upgrade 2wd front brakes to syncro front brakes if they are better?

Part# 251 407 615Q

Mine is an 88 2wd Westfalia.

I doubt it. Aren't the brake rotors for a 2wd also used for the bearing? The wheel bearing is a sealed press fit bearing for the Syncro.

If I recall correctly, some versions of the 2WD South African Microbus had a separate hub that fitted to the front wheel bearing in place of the disc/rotor, and which allowed you to use standard Sycnro discs/rotors, with the same calipers/pads. This hub conversion also meant that the same components for the vented brake option (SA big brakes) could be fitted to either 2WD or Syncro vans.
