Can anyone help me identify this thermostat? The connector barrel on top of the thermostat is a little longer and larger diameter. On the bottom it's stamped with 140° v 0. |

140 is super low if that's in F*, maybe it's one of those type 3 units that go in the heater valves? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

You guessed it, I did a couple searches and that is the temperature of the thermostat used in the heater mixing boxes.
It's in Celsius though, it's hot! _________________ How to Post Photos

Ah HA!, so definitely not suitable as an engine thermostat, good to know. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I haven't really done a lot with type 3s but I don't recall seeing a second thermostat. Where would that be located? I came across a bunch of thermostats from an estate sale. Trying to get them back in circulation but was just confused on exactly what this one was for. Don't recall seeing one quite like it. Thanks for all the input. |

Thanks everyone. I wasn't aware of a thermostat in the Type 3 heating system. Now that I know where to look I found the info I needed. Thanks again. |
